Michael, #143 has some great dynamic movement. And whatever that hungry dragon could be eating, Hans, I suppose it is well equipped to enjoy it.

Nice subtle grays yet plenty of definition in No Black, No White, Hans, and in the images that follow from you, Michael. In fact Michael’s last one made my eyes open wide as I’d just just seen a sky with fleeting Cirrocumulus (and friends) above my own noggin. What an unexpected treat!

Hiccccup
-
October 2, 2019 at 12:23 pm #371789Hans StockerParticipant
Hello Keelin, it was the sun although it wasn´t sunny. I remember it well. In B&W it becomes quite moody indeed but it was at full daylight. Your Hiccccup is wonderful: the cloud formation with the visually echoing holes and the title as well.

Love the sweep (and the title) of your Virga Delight, Hans. And agreed, Michael’s #166 makes a good footprint for a dragon. Perhaps it’s the residue of it’s breath I keep finding under my bed?

Indeed, lovely grays to be adrift in above.
And wise words as well, Hans. Best to let all sleeping dragons lie. Who knows what could happen if one became…
Agitated
-
November 12, 2019 at 11:46 am #380049Hans StockerParticipant
Yes Keelin, who knows what happens if one dragon gets agitated. It can wake other dragons elsewhere. And so it did. To me they all seem to be strayed in this B&W thread but when they have fun they are welcome.

What do you suppose that playful duo of flame throwers is up to, Hans, a friendly game of catch with balls of fire? Wonderful image!
And love the composition in #169, Michael. I’m amused by that little hovering cloudlet that keeps snagging my eye each time I try to look elsewhere.

Michael, I agree with Hans. That is one cloud puppy no one could resist. Even his tail looks ready to wag in the wind.

Wow, Michael, what a dramatic shot! Hard to believe one would actually fall right through such solid looking clouds.
It was late afternoon for the photo below as well, facing into the setting sun.
-
December 16, 2019 at 8:15 pm #391884Hans StockerParticipant
Love the frothiness on your former one Keelin. I hope to see it arrive over here. And the fone facing the setting sun has marvelous light play. In between these beauties a massive cauliflower mountain over Arizona. Certainly an impressive one Michael.

Cloud Sculpture
-
December 30, 2019 at 3:06 am #397642Patricia L KeelinParticipant
Indeed, Michael, you’ve given us one that intrigues beyond words in #177. Love the mystery of it!
And your Cloud Sculpture, Hans is one I would hang on my wall. Beautiful.
A moment after taking the photo below, there occurred a transformation of the bright wee cloud, making an image better suited for the Clouds-That-Look-Like-Things topic. So there it will land perhaps to inspire a bit of wonder…

Hello,
Love the shadow Keelin, I can see the outline of a person drifting thorough the clouds. And Michael, that cumulus looks wonderful with the rats shooting out behind it. Well captured.
Below is a mixture of Altocumulus and Cirrus.

Gregory, it looks as if your clouds are shifting into hyperspace—which, at times, seems like a possibility with how quickly some sail across the sky. And Michael, your B&W182 of Cirrus intortus reminds me of younger years when I could easily dance in all directions—at the same time. These days, my style is more like the gentle Drifting Shape Hans has posted. Alas, I have no answer for the question your most recent clouds have posed.
PS: Saw your wild Asperitas over Haarlem on the Gallery, Hans. Congratulations!

Michael, you continue to polish the grays to a gorgeous gleam. #188 is particularly impressive. And I must admit to a little giggle when pareidolia took hold and something (I shall not say what) emerged. I keep going back to it because each time I look, I feel greeted with a little smile.
Here is an undecided one from a decidedly busy sky day earlier this month.
Not Sure Which Way To Go
