Martien Van Beeck is an artist based in Ghent, Belgium. His painting “Sky #32” is from an ongoing series of cloudy skies. It was painted in 2021, oil on canvas and measures 35 X 45 cm. He told us “Clouds, like water or fire, do not have a fixed form. Their form is very undefined, yet clouds are instantly recognizable. This ambivalence creates an interesting playground for me. In this painting you can recognize clouds, but at the same time you can see undefined brushstrokes”.
