After reaching the summit of Frenchmans Cap, Wayde was surrounded by clouds. After 20 minutes the clouds began to lift and clear. Then, as he began to descend, a horseshoe vortex appeared in his view, spotted from Frenchmans Cap, Tasmania, Australia.
