A roll cloud, or volutus, which is a rare, low horizontal tube-shaped arcus cloud, detached from the parent storm cloud, and represents the leading edge of a thunderstorm's gust front. This example was spotted between Vinylhaven Island and the Rockland area of the Mid-Coast, near Penobscot Bay, Maine, US.

Wonderful image, Kamila
Wow… I’m surprised… I thought that this picture will not be published… This is all the more a surprise… THANK YOU.
PS. This quality doesn’t satisfy me… The original looks better :)
And……. I’m already getting ready to publish a single, double and triple Brocken specter :)
I need to add, this may be the Very Best Lightning shot I have ever seen. Sweet!!!
Front Page Calendar material for sure. GREAT SHOT! Kamila!
I love it when nature is scary and beautiful all at the same time.
Great example of a long exposure used to record multiple lightning strikes!
Stunning! Fire in the sky…
