I would so, so love to fly with gay abandon in and amongst the depths of these tumbling and unfurling mirth of clouds – my favourite type, must say!

LOL Anne Downie…I had to give that a thought, then looked at the caption, “A view from the deck of a cumulonimbus cloud to the north of Dublin, Ireland.” Hehe…. Must have been quite a neat thing to see John. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Beate Blecher avatar Beate Blecher says:

    Unique perspective, John!

  3. Didn’t know cumulonimbus clouds had flight decks (this comment more for Ian, I imagine). Good shot, though.

  5. Beate Blecher avatar Beate Blecher says:

Such a great photo, John! So much going on – Britain running off in what looks like a hurry, the storm clouds hovering above, and the bow pierced by the rays. Where is the UK is that, can you say?

  6. Laurence Green avatar Laurie Green says:

The cloud formation on the left of the photo looks a wee bit like the map of the British Isles, though what would be Scotland seeems to be nodding off. A very good image!

  1. Another dramatic one, John. Are they more turbulent to fly through than ‘plain’ cumulonimbus?
