Question from the owner, what caused this effect??? taken in Child Okeford, Dorset UK. Is it an illuminated contrail that has not dissipated due to high moisture levels in the atmosphere???

Are you Jo Gardner who used to live in Bedford, England? And was Jo Evans after you married. I used to be your pen pal, but I’m not sure if you are the same Jo Gardner. I was living in San Francisco, and then Seattle, WA for awhile. We started writing to each other in 1965 or 1966.
