Comment from Jan "We were on holiday in the French Ardennes, we were driving on the small country road from Mécrin to Sampigny. At 6.15 pm the autumn sun lowered and above the dark and lower lining this pigeon emerged. As Belgians we immediately recognized the signature of our painter René Magritte. Moreover this “L’Oiseau de Ciel” (Sky Bird) is not just a painting, it was to become the logo of our former national airlines Sabena. Both are gone and -as you can see- they're up in the skies!"

Teriffic shot, Jan – that cheerful red roof against the angry blues of the mammatus!
Sigh… would love to experience the accompanying sounds and smells that come with this picture. Thanks Jan!
Nice use of colour and contrast. A very satisfying photo.
Dramatic sky, Jan. Well caught!
Stunning!
And special: the Mammatus with these long fringes, quite beautiful!
Oh I love the wide open spaces. Such a beautiful contrast against the sky.
Very nice Jan. What a shot indeed.
Great to see, thanks for this.
