Definitely a turbulent looking sky over Christchurch, New Zealand, Greg!
A vast cold-front, with colder mid-autumn temperatures, overcast skies, strong winds and a storm was definitely on the way in a short time that afternoon! Very threatening! The sky looks quite feathery with its mamma formation up there. I would hope to get inside before the weather changes if I were there, as I wouldn’t want to be caught out in it without my umbrella and raincoat!
