Great view taken from an airplane above the clouds on a beautiful fine and sunny day! The sea looks like a sea of ice and the forested hills of the Black Forest of the Rhine Valley of Germany! Looking at the view below, the hills appear in the foreground dark, shadowy, misty, mysterious and monochrome, one reason why the forest has been called “Black Forest” and seem to float above the clouds like stranded, dark-coloured ice burgs. Interesting that you can see way-off floating above the clouds on the distant horizon, the Vosges mountains of France, which gives you an idea of how vast the Black Forest area of the Rhine River Valley of Germany really is! From Rebecca Hill, Canberra, Australia
