    That’s definitely real. The fallstreak consists of falling ice crystals and they create the optical effect (halo) called Circumzenithal Arc (look at the categories). Because the ice crystals are like glass prisms, they reflect and refract the light more effectively than waterdrops (rain), which makes the colours more intense than a rainbow can possibly be.

  7. Wow! Is that CZA real, or a photoshop effect? I’m just a bit confused by the intensity of the colours in places, especially the blues.

Noctilucent clouds are primarily composed of ice crystals at heights 50-70 miles above the earth's surface and form during the summer when temperatures in the mesosphere are coldest. Temperatures lower than about -120 degrees Celsius are required for its formation. This classic example was spotted during a flight between JFK airport in New York, US, and Heathrow airport in London, England.
