Michael, now, that one is sweet #118. Very dramatic.
Going Sideways
Ruth QuistParticipantKeelin, I hate itches. I have an idea, how about a:
Big Splash
Ruth QuistParticipantOK gang, all your entries are terrific. It is nice to see our group active and ready for this new year. Never boring and all inspiring.
Big Fingers
Ruth QuistParticipantMichael, some great considerations you have brought up with the magic of this cloud formation. It is at times as varied as mammatus. The photo you are asking about was from a few years ago. It was very low in the sky and steep in feet, can’t really say but one of the largest for me to capture. Again, these meaty ones remind me of intestines or sausages casings. Crazy as that is. I am enjoying going back to look at past photos and I’ll be darn if I don’t see more in them. Hoping our eyes are better trained over time.
Deep in my heart
Ruth QuistParticipantGail, I like your assessment of the halo. My go to reference is Gavin’s ” The Cloud Collector’s Handbook” see page 120. That is the bible for me. I can’t tell you how many times I have read that handbook and continue to learn intricacies of clouds. So much to learn and appreciate.
Ruth QuistParticipantMichael, very interesting screen or netting.
Low Skirt
Ruth QuistParticipantMichael and Hans, great information you have been sharing. I will add a juicy one.
Right side up. Upside down makes me dizzy.
Ruth QuistParticipantKeelin, you caught the moody blues.
A Stuffed Mushroom
Ruth QuistParticipantKeelin, I think we spotted the same swift airplane.
Contrail Playing Dress up.
Ruth QuistParticipantHans, our perfect pair.
The Sky that keeps on Giving.
Ruth QuistParticipantKeelin, I love a good mystery. I always enjoy your photos and wit.
Popcorn Anyone
Ruth QuistParticipantRobert, you caught some great cloud-water too. I really like the reflection element.
Hans, I love the birds. Looks like those may be geese on the move.
A Thinking Cap – hoping so.
Ruth QuistParticipantHans, way cool crow vortex. They go by so fast up there.
Taking a Nosedive
Ruth QuistParticipantHans, yep that is a gust alright. Plus, some big holes boot.
