Patricia L KeelinParticipantDear Cloud Friends ~ While I’ve been away for too long, your skies — filled with impressive, inspiring, often mind-boggling, outrageously gorgeous images — have buoyed me beyond words. Hoping to be able to share more in the coming days.

A Subtle Hint of Halo and Iridescence

One Note Song
Patricia L KeelinParticipantBeautiful cascade, Michael, in your Arizona cloudscape.
Love your winter vistas, Ruth. Hope you’re bundled up there! I’ve been meaning to say your Sunrise with Early Morning Fog over Mission Mountain Range (on the Gallery last month) still wows me. I keep revisiting it to feel the serenity.
Cool blue skies here these past couple of days. Had to look back to December archives to find this scene.

Last Month’s Show
Patricia L KeelinParticipantMicheal, Yes! That was the Wolf Moon on that very night of the Mars munching. Another slightly different shot from that night was on the CAS Gallery, but slipped into their sunrise/sunset collection. I can see how that might happen as it was really such a yellow moon.
The impressive balancing act in your #178 Cloud Tickle gave me a giggle.

Staccato
Patricia L KeelinParticipantFinally catching up with this thread and am absolutely WOWed by the optical *phenomenal* photos you’ve all been posting! Here’s to new beginnings…

Imminent Conception
Patricia L KeelinParticipantYou’ve got a towering blue beauty in #177, Michael. Reminds me of recent news about a young surfer who rode a 108’ wave last month in Santa Cruz.
And Hans, I love the icy edginess in Shattered, so perfectly titled.
Ruth, I hope you had your running shoes on and escaped — although Big Fingers did make me laugh out loud.
Anyone catch the Wolf Moon a couple nights ago?

Wolf Moon
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove the calming smoothness of Smooth, Hans. And thank you, yes, Napa is far north of the surreal, devastation happening in LA. It is truly catastrophic. If only tears could drench those wild winded fires for our southern neighbors/friends.

Empathy and Embers
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThat is one wild shroom, Ruth. Might have a bit of magic in it.
It looks like the perfect solution was found in the branches below…
What Else Can the Sky Do When It’s Got a Great Big itch?
Patricia L KeelinParticipantBedankt, Hans. And what a keen eye you possess to have caught that cruiser with the window down. What a feeling! Perhaps he will cross paths with this fellow…
Gnome in a Cloud Sled Heading West
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks for your kind comments, Ruth. Popcorn looks delicious — and Michael’s response is better than butter!
Michael, I’v never seen such a fine, evenly lined cloud layer. Fantastic!

Above and Beyond
Patricia L KeelinParticipantMeanwhile, these pups might be looking for a playful romp with your moose, Ruth – or a certain squirrel to chase?

Patricia L KeelinParticipantYour golden moose looks quite content, Ruth. Made me smile!
As for that wailing banshee, Hans, perhaps she was complaining about the cold? This fellow might be to blame…
Jack FrostAnd yet her wailing is nothing compared to this spoiled fellow…
Temper Tantrum
Patricia L KeelinParticipantAll kinds of fun happening in this thread. Leave it to Black & White to bring it on!
Miscellaneous Mystery
Patricia L KeelinParticipantSo right you both are about how this cloud form surprises.
Careful! Don’t Step On It!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantWow ~ stunning blues above from all of you above! Room for more?
Reaching for the Moon
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you Hans and Michael for kind comments — and the nice dusting of powder sugar!
Taking a scroll through last year’s images above, so many beauties! Ruth, I can’t help but keep returning to your Cotton Candy and Raining down there somewhere. #165 and #172 by Michael and also Dripping and Parallel Structure by Hans are absolute favorites.
On another day more recently, there was this sweep of Cirrus — and a bright spot…
PS: And yes, Hans, still just Keelin is my prefence — thanks for asking. ;)
