Patricia L KeelinParticipant
Ruth, you caught a lovely glow from a valiant sun. Hope you enjoyed your time with the cloud conjuring ocean.
Ariel, it looks like your colorful Neanderthal did a fair job devouring the potatoes. Nothing left now but this…
Last Drop of Butter on a Bright Blue Plate
Patricia L KeelinParticipantYes, indeed, Ruth, it’s time for the clouds to bring it with Halloween approaching. I see they’re gathering in Crevices and Fanning Out!
And I’d avoid that wonderfully strange formation in #235, Michael. Although, if it produced #236/7, it looks like it might have something poetic to say. Love those soft lines and the splashy drama of 238!
Not sure what this is either, but I think I’ll stay away from it too.
Heading This Way?!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantYes, sometimes the high contrast makes the drama… well, more dramatic. That said, you’ve always shown a keen eye, Michael, for making the most of those subtle gray tones.
Now something seasonal this way comes… Halloween!
Bat of White and Crow of Black
Patricia L KeelinParticipantMichael, even though you get some warning time, somehow, I imagine you’d stay for a great shot. ;) Especially for one like #1321 — what a beauty!
Fun to share, isn’t it?
Halvsies
Patricia L KeelinParticipantQuite a boot there, Duncan! Glad you made it down safely. And a dramatic skyful you captured along the highway, Jill.
Ruth, it sure looks like you caught those curls just in time. We all know how quickly clouds move…
Heartless? Not for long! ;)
Patricia L KeelinParticipantHeavy sky there, Ruth! Love the sweep of shapes — and the funny (tasty) title.
Michael, is that bit of glow in #232 the being moon shy? I keep lingering on the image, almost expecting its emergence. Perhaps it’s because the clouds below look to be in motion. It is fooling my eye!
The Layered Look
PS: Thanks, Ruth re Gallery posting. Oddly, I didn’t see it appear there until several days after it was apparently added. :? I’ve noticed that type of delay since the format changed awhile ago. Be that as it may, it’s always fun to see a favorite shared there!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantMichael, I would be so tempted to stand beneath your sky of #1318 just to feel that first drop of rain.
Love Some Colors and Them Rays, Ruth.
Even less light here…
Night Spot
Patricia L KeelinParticipantFinally a chance to catch up with this fun thread and the great posts from everyone above.
Is this a bit of playful sky texting?
Tilde
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks, Michael! I’m still using my iPhone 11Pro, so it must be the clouds themselves that deserve the credit.
There is a sense of poetry to your #231 that is very appealing.
The photo below reminds me of the new season—like leaves falling, rain and wind.
Ode To Autumn
Patricia L KeelinParticipantJust what you need for your frisky friend there, Ruth!
Ball Tosser
Patricia L KeelinParticipantGood eye, Michael! Love the illusion of over-the-edge flow in #230.
Eclipse
Patricia L KeelinParticipantInviting scene, Ruth! And that path looks like it would make a wonderful ride. Hopefully one that is smoother than this textured sky.
Rough Road Ahead
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks, Michael! Looks like #229 is heading somewhere. Love the subtle shades of grey that define that impression.
Fire and Ice
Patricia L KeelinParticipantOne might be inclined to ask…
What’s the Big Idea?
Patricia L KeelinParticipantRuth, it looks like you were lucky to catch that wild animal with rainbow-hued mane dash out from behind the trees. Right on time, I’d say!
How do you like your masked potatoes served?
With Lots of Butter Please
PS: Caught you Big Fork(ful) photo on International Cloud Appreciation Day. How fun it was to see the skies from all directions.
