Hans StockerParticipantSpring Mix and Bloom, both pictures breathe the atmosphere of spring very well. I can almost smell the spring in the air.

SpringTree
Hans StockerParticipantJust an impressionistic painting, Michael!

Snowy Mount Cloud
Hans StockerParticipantSpectacular time-lapse! Thank you Laurence for sharing.
Hans StockerParticipantThank you Keelin. Your picture is the proof that all good things come in threes.
And the title Newton’s Third Law is very applicable so I would like to add that – like on your picture – for Newton’s Third Law ….

It Takes Two
Hans StockerParticipantYou are doing magic with the grays and contrasts in 3 and Going Forward, Michael.

Minimal Music part III
Hans StockerParticipantWell, welcome back.
I haven’t seen a library on the CAS site since I started to visit the site, some 4 years ago. I think it would be a nice idea to have one and I remember to have read once (on a former version of this site or in the somewhat occasional newsletter?) the intent to add a cloud library to the site. I am not sure about this intent, because after all there is nu such library yet.
Shortly the International Cloud Atlas became online available from the moment the Asperitas was officially added to the atlas. For looking up things about clouds it can’t be more complete, but for an oversight or for introductory purposes a smaller and more comprehensive library would be nice. Such a library also already exists as the library that is included in the Cloudspoter app.
I am curious about the status of the intent and other opinions. To be continued?
Best wishes, hans
Hans StockerParticipantMerveilleux, c’est un vrai vignoble Keelin!
… but I also like the bottled product. The combination of both in the right quantities can make it perfect for me.

Intoxicated
Hans StockerParticipantIt is a pity: no chance for Cloud Doodles over here except for rare occasions. I love these doodles (very ingenious name you gave them, Michael!) for their curious and elegant features. Likewise the Holmboe instabilities. I appreciate also your extensive explanations about your creative process, Michael (in former threads and and in the thread “Cloud Doodles”). Many thanks for taking the trouble to write it all down (or “up” considering the internet way of sharing).
In april over here ….

One Needed To Keep His Hands Warm
(but now May has arrived)
Hans StockerParticipantBelow and Above, together it makes a lovely impressionistic picture, Keelin.

No Title
Hans StockerParticipantHi Jamie, welcome. Nice entry with this great picture. Why not post it for the gallery?
Edited: ha, almost at the same time… i see Gavin proposed the same…
Hans
Hans StockerParticipantOh, the cumuli with their smooth and quickly vanishing haircut. It seems to hang there so still. Nice! Over here the weather gave us a lot of cumuli last week, also of the nimbus kind. Great cloudscapes and some iridescence in between. I started the thread with one of the shots I took. Here is another one.

Shine A Light
Hans StockerParticipant…. Mirroring The Clouds

Hans StockerParticipantCloud Doodles! A very applicable name you gave to these fine cloud/drawings, Michael. And it is nice to read about the circumstances you pictured these Doodles. Their forms are intriguing. I can´t help to think about the outlines of small asperitas formations. You write they are the remnants of Altocumulus stratiformis. Maybe there is some similarity in it?
The Holmboe´s are coming in little groups that seem to shadow each other. Great phenomenon!
Hans StockerParticipantThe impressionism in Greetings From A Sunrise has clearly your signature Michael. Great composition!

White Giant
Hans StockerParticipantApparently there are still some challenges for the developers to come with the necessary water to put this kind of fire out, Keelin. Fortunately the logging in is straightforward again and there are no caching issues anymore. I noticed Hygge e.o. had problems to log in last weeks, which explains why so little attributions appeared on the forum except for the Black & Whities.
Ablaze is really fiery Keelin! Here is some water to douse this fire, so don’t Abandon….
