Here is a timelapse from today in the Harrow, Middlesex area looking NNE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umSw87KynvQ
It starts late morning as early cloud dissolves in a rather pleasing way revealing an upper cirrus layer with a different wind direction. Then a boring stretch as the sun heats the ground up and clouds start to bubble. Then around 1m30s the clouds really start to tower and get violently interesting. At 2 minutes some seriously explosive cloud towers form. A short while later (mid afternoon) a seriously heavy downpour arrives accompanied by lightning (not captured by the timelapse alas). After a couple of hours of heavy rain the entire garden, garage and front driveway are underwater as the drains get overwhelmed. Given how long my window gets soaked at 1 frame every 5 seconds, that was a massive shower. Then I end the clip as the sky clears to blue at the end. Enjoy!

Mike RubinModeratorThis timelapse was uploaded to YouTube earlier in the week.

Mike RubinModeratorThey are YouTube links which are available to the public. Not had any problems reported from elsewhere and they work from other machines and locations.
Maybe try clearing your browser cache and restarting and try again? Or right-click on the links and open in a new tab or window?

Mike RubinModeratorSpotted this video on YouTube of GoPro footage from an airline passenger as his plane flies through turbulenty towering cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds.

Mike RubinModeratorNo problem. I took the liberty of renaming the thread Odds and Ends 37. No reason for the forum to not let you do it as it’s just a name.
BTW boooo to editing out clouds. I hope they don’t overdo it. Blue skies are boring.

Mike RubinModeratorWould anyone like to come with me to explore a sea breeze front over Dorset? This is an 8x speed timelapse compressing 18 minutes into 2. Hope nobody gets dizzy when I turn to soar thermals mind you lol.

Mike RubinModeratorNot so sure about Fallstreak Holes but I have seen a good few Glories from above in a glider with the glider’s shadow being in the middle (the equivalent of the Brokenspectre).
This is a recent example as I flew close to a cumulus cloud a little above cloudbase on 12th September 2015. Instead of the human shaped Brokenspectre shadow there is of course the shape of the glider, the cockpit being at the centre as that is where my camera / eye is.-Mike
http://www.flybywire.org.uk/pictures/gliding2015.html is the source of the image.Mike RubinModeratorThere is already a fairly new Odds and Ends 36 thread. Why did you go down a number / extend from an older Odds and Ends thread?
Odds and Ends 35 already exists and was started by you Hygge and last modified on 2nd January: https://cloudappreciationsociety.org/forums/topic/odds-ends-35/
Odds and Ends 36 is here and still only contains a few posts: https://cloudappreciationsociety.org/forums/topic/odds-ends-36/No idea why Odds and Ends 34 has jumped the gun. I wonder why the most recent poster didn’t use the most recent Odds and Ends thread?
Mike RubinModeratorThanks Bastian! 😃
Mike RubinModeratorI finally had time to upload my timelapse of rather dynamic shower clouds on Tuesday 26th April 2016. See https://youtu.be/GROKoi9_Lho

Mike RubinModeratorFunny you should mention dry ice clouds. Look what I spotted a week ago in Kentish Town:
I like to call them ‘stage clouds’. :)

Mike RubinModeratorLooks impressive. A cube of GoPros. Kinda looks a bit like a Borg mothership lol. Nothing can escape its gaze and we will be assimilated!

Mike RubinModeratorMy motorbike does indeed have an electric starter just like a car. I think some motocross or trials type bikes can still be found with kickstarts but most road bikes have electric starters.
Hehe not listened to Lordi in quite a few years. Was a fun gig back in 2009.
