Can anyone tell me what clouds these are, the high ones that are  a bit blue white? When I noticed them they had bright colours but yes, my camera was somewhere else. By the time I had it the colours had already faded.

It was just before sunrise.

I can see lobes, in the middle, but when they are directly over you they are less visible……

You are right, they look vertical, but are higher up than the grey clouds.

I think they are contrails…..

I think this was the bottom part of a rainbow, the lower the sun the higher up the rainbow…..
