Michael LerchParticipantThank you Ruth. I shot that and Bacon and a few others , with camera programed as High Contrast BW. I get to choose just how much in the initial programming but then again in processing and then again, whatever happens to it here. Below is an example of going high contrast brings out all sorts of subtleties in the gray…as close as I could get to your feather..

Michael LerchParticipantThe below is already upside down. The rite-side up is just too much work. The shot wasn’t quite overhead but there was a wave rolling the clouds from lower center right to mid left center going on there with a canopy of cloud already weakened by blasts of wind.
