ParticipantThe idea for this topic starts with AK’s ‘My back yard’ thread in the old forum (and I would enjoy the topic here); but since not everyone has a Sierra Nevada in their back yard I have widened it. Nesbit (according to Hampshire Life magazine April 2015, with a website I have not looked at, hampshire-life.co.uk) is a software developer with a serious passion for photography. In this slide show #8 ‘A poppy field in King’s Somborne’ appeared in the (freebie) mag; #17 is a good cloud shot too:

N.B. The sound of the Merlin engine flying overhead is legendary, but today’s pilot told the BBC it does not sound so beautiful when you are piloting it.
P.S. Sorry about the ad but it is only 20 seconds.

The Times, UK, says 6MAY16 ‘The Milky Way at dawn…. with Mars, right, Saturn to the left and Antares below.
N.B. I would encourage others to add their back yard clouds to this thread; it is not just for hygge.

The radio said Thomas Hardy loved clouds among other aspects of nature; I don’t think I have heard of clouds spouting before:

KeymasterHygge, I have edited your last post to make the link work. We’ll have to look into why the embed functionality of the forum is having problems with links to the gallery images. In the meantime, the solution is to add the link by using the ‘Link’ button and pasting the image description and the gallery link so that it works as above.
Thanks for letting us know about this.
