This was spotted during sunrise last week in Northwestern Arkansas. I can see cirrus uncinus in the distance, at the front of the cloud travel. But then there were lots of little starburst formations above, with wisps radiating in all directions. Do they have a name?

Hi All, Shannon again. :) I think I may have answered my own question through researching (not sure how to edit the original post, so I’ll just reply here). Please correct me if I’m wrong! But, I think they can be called Altocumulus Floccus because they have the little raggedy edges?

You may be right Shannon, but did you also consider cirrus intortus? I see a lot of similarities with the ones I can find on the gallery.

Thank you Hans! I do see the similarities.
