Cloudy Poetry

Cloud enthusiast, Dinah Johnson, was inspired to write these poems after walking into the town of Swanage, UK, a few years ago and spotting a cumulonimbus cloud.

Cloud

In an unexpected moment
I looked up
And as high as you were
My spirit ascended.
I felt my eyes dilate
Hope flooded in
Blue sky surrounded you
Framed you
Bright billowing white.

Cloud

You healed my broken spirit
Restored my hope
If but for a brief moment
From my sad lament.
There you were above me
Plump, beautiful and bright
With silver lining
Set in blue with golden autumn light.
