In celebration of Orkney’s summer and winter solstices Victoria Crowe RSA and Orkney-based composer Gemma McGregor are collaborating to create Orkney Sequence, inspired by Victoria Crowe’s recent Orkney paintings. This evocative, new musical composition will be designed to accompany a filmic projection of Crowe’s paintings, the original inspiration point, culminating in a powerful, immersive experience of both vision and sound. This unique collaboration brings together two women, experts in their own creative fields, to bring to life the inspiring nature of Orkney’s powerful landscapes, its resonant history and evolving skies.
