In the abstract of the link below it says ‘sound recordist Gordon Hempton has spent many years trying to escape man-made noise in his quest for one square inch of silence’. He said something like he chose the spot to mark his inch when the clouds parted and allowed a ray of light through.

Which makes me wonder, what do clouds sound like?
