Colours and textures competed for space in the sky after a storm rolled over Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Richard C (Member 65,361) caught the first sight of rainbows while driving. The spray flying from the wheels of other cars in addition to the rain ‘made it seem like the rainbow was right next to us and following us’. It must have picked up a friend along the way. Beneath pouch-like cloud features known as mamma at the back of the retreating Cumulonimbus storm cloud, Richard’s bright primary rainbow was joined by a fainter secondary one.
