This expanse of Altocumulus stratiformis had made Highfields, Queensland, Australia dull and grey all day. But in the evening, Pat Lehane (Member 61,204) watched as it transformed into a textured canvas drenched in the crimson light of the day’s end. As every cloudspotter knows, it is the clouds that make for the finest sunsets – and even dull formations eventually find their moments to shine.
