Lois Carlson (Member 35,579) was in ghostly company as she hiked along the southern edge of glacier-fed Grey Lake in Lago Grey, Torres del Paine National Park, Chile. The cloud apparition was created by Chilean high winds blowing over high peaks, sculpting mid-level Altocumulus lenticularis clouds. The ripples featured in the main cloud bodies are the variety known as undulatus. This was a lucky cloudspot for Lois, as it was a rare day without rain on her trip.
