While enjoying a morning swim, Susan Hawson (Member 62,110) paused to admire the sunrise over Greens Pool, William Bay, Western Australia. These are Stratocumulus perlucidus clouds. The perlucidus variety is distinguished by small gaps in the cloud layer through which you can see higher clouds or, in Susan’s case, the deep blue morning sky. ‘The water was warm and the ocean a delight,’ she said. ‘I just had to stop in wonder at this breathtaking sunrise.’
