Janet Redmon of Lompoc, California usually writes poetry for children but sent us this one she wrote some years ago entitled “Rain Castles”
The raindrops live in castles
Built of pure white light,
They swell to fill the turrets,
Calling to the wind to cross the drawbridge,
Inviting the thunder in
To sing an ancient song
Of weeping skies.
