Many bird species call the coastal waters of the Olympic Peninsula, Washington, US, home. Seabirds near Sequim include Common Murres, Pigeon Guillemots, Tufted Puffins, and Brown Pelicans. Sue Norris (Member 66,360) spotted another species on a recent trip to the beach. It had long, white, elegant wings and a solid-looking, weighty body. We’d classify Sue’s cloud bird as having wings of Cirrocumulus homomutatus and a Stratocumulus body. It is a celestial animal, without doubt, but we’re not convinced this bird can actually fly.
