Jane Curley (Member 56,854) was walking down Central Park West, New York City, US when she spotted these Altocumulus stratiformis mamma clouds. Mamma are supplementary features of cloud shaped like pouches or globules – sometimes rough, sometimes smooth – that can hang from a cloud layer. The mamma in this sky made Jane think of candy floss. The sugary expanse of cloud illuminated by the setting Sun reflected enough light down to the city below to make Jane’s dusky stroll feel ‘unusually pink’.
