The cloud reflections are in the windows of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU. The glass building actually has a striking crimson colour, but not when viewed at a shallow angle like this. That is when the colour disappears, and it becomes a huge mirror.

Reflected in this way, the Cumulus mediocris and Cumulus fractus formations appear as a huge white Rorschach inkblot of the sky. ‘I wanted to highlight the asymmetry of clouds and trees,’ said Owen, ‘showing nature isn’t perfect – and that it’s gorgeous for it.’ We couldn’t agree more.
