Carol Brown (Member 58,260) was sent this video by her brother who is a paraglider. Filmed by photographer Mark Watson, it shows champion paraglider Jon Durand Hang surfing a Morning Glory cloud. This is the enormous roll cloud that forms in the Gulf Savannah region of Northern Queensland in Australia. Riding the lifting air at the front of the wave that created the Morning Glory cloud, Jon describes the experience as “like surfing a tsunami or tidal wave in the sky.”
