Stunning! I've just seen this after submitting my own part-parhelic circle image, which was much fainter. A wonderful thing to see, and as you say, exceptionally rare.
Regards from Wales!
I have never seen a parhelia… In what conditions of weather does it usually occur?
Wonderful shot. Congratulations. (Much better than mine!)
What a wonderfull arc!
I’d be smiling if I had tsken that photgraph. I’ve been loking at clouds for 30 years and only twice seen tha 120 degree parhelia. Neither were as good as the phot here. Rare indeed and brilliantly captured — halo phenomena often appear and disappear very quickly.
a sky with a smile on!!!
