Very dramatic picture, Charles. Wow! The stormy cumulonimbus clouds in the background look like they are rising into the air like smoke from an explosive, volcanic eruption or an extra huge cauliflower. Looks like there is going to be a change in the hot weather that afternoon quite soon. I was there a couple of years ago with my mother on a coach trip at a similar time of year in the same place. Very beautiful. I also went to Slovenia(Ljubljana), Prague, Vienna, Graz, Zagreb, the lakes in the Croatian Highlands and Split. The European Alps were beautiful. I took a picture of a funnel cloud on the lake border between Croatia and Bosnia, when we stopped for a lunch café break. From Rebecca Hill, Canberra, Australia
