Thanks Ruth. Yes not often you see such a varied cloudscape and true, it took a telephoto zoom lens to get it. Like your above shot it was near the edge of an Asperitas event. But the lens framed it all into nice little composition. Upside down shows how thin it can be

They are rare, Ruth. Seeing two in the same day is pushing it. My normal rate has been one every two years..At your elevation I imagine clouds move thru quickly so that makes the duration of a parahelic circle problematic. Cirrus and contrails brought these about, so thats like 25k to 30k ft and Im thinking a strong enuf wind to push the ice crystals alignment in all the same direction. Below is some iridescence and undulatus.
