  A short time ago on this website it was mooted that British astronaut, Tim Peake, might be offered a lifetime honorary membership to the CAS.
  
  I have not heard since though I did offer my endorsement of this to the CAS.
  
  What has happened? Was it accepted or declined, assuming, that is, the offer was made to Tim Peake to be a member of the CAS?
  
  Any news on this? Tim Peake, today (2nd December) was due at Buckingham Palace, London to receive an award from the Queen for his achievements I space.
