as the colour wheel. I guess interested ones will have Googled it, but I would like to recommend a book, or rather since the book is now rare and expensive this PDF:

The color circle appears in colour in the PDF following page 30 as diagram 3. I have not read it cover to cover but always find it fascinating to dip into e.g. hue on page 34 is the first of seven color contrasts.
CAVEAT EMPTOR
The book is circa 1960 so precedes digital cameras – for colour related to these you might start with Michael’s thoughts on this forum.
