e-Supermoon
It is cloudy tonight but this was yesterday, on the eve of the Supermoon, taken (probably from Gosport) through the Spinnaker Tower at Portsmouth, UK

I saw this from home looming very large through the trees at moonrise (the so called Moon illusion), and with a lovely halo later on.Paul Simons discusses supermoons today in The Times (UK). He says ‘cameras later showed that the moon is the same size regardless of where it is in the sky, and if you look at (the illusion) through a cardboard tube it too looks normal size.’ Anyone tried that?
