Nice shot Ruth, nice rich sunset color as with your photo Hans and the blues!..Thanks to you both for your comments. It all starts with how the shot is being programmed to be recorded. I haven’t used Auto in years, and sunsets are tricky, with everything changing quickly and ever decreasing light. Take lots of shots and make each one different ,vary your exposures, etc. .Its also nice to have clouds so willing to put on a show. I still don’t know how I got this shot tho

You’ve collectively inspired me to roll out of bed a little earlier to catch a little color in the morning sky.

Nice marmalade set and thanks for your kind words. Ruth, That shot and the one below taken a few minutes apart were made possible with a good zoom telephoto. And what you see is not full frame so I was near the boundaries of of the tech to provide a still good shot. I thought I seen a lot of sunsets. This one the light just lit up the clouds like I never seen before.

Scrolling back a few… Wow, what a fabulous sky to wake up to on any morning of the year, Hans! And Ruth, you beautifully captured a sliver of warmth even on that dang cold evening. Michael, those sunsets are simply spectacular! And Marie, talk about good vibrations. We’re only half way through this volume and it’s turning out to be quite a wild ride.

My dear friends it has been too long since I have posted here. I don’t blame you if you don’t remember me, but I used to be very active on these forums. I believe it is finally time to come back and begin posting again, as I really did forget how beautiful this community is. Anyways, here’s one of my favorite sunsets as of recently. I took it right after storm chasing in the Midwestern U.S.

Arizona Sunset #136 looks like a ghostly Billy, Michael. Love it.
As I do the last softly colored sunset by Ruth titles Thinking Cranberries and the fiery last one as well.
Gregory your return here with Golden is marvelous. I see a lonely warrior on a horse riding into a hostile burning distance. Could have been the Lord of the Rings.
