Hello! The other day I spotted this cloud formation I had never seen before just as a storm system was leaving our area. It reminds me of rows of arches in ancient Roman architecture. Apologies for the photo quality- I handed the phone to my 10-year-old in the backseat to take photos since I was driving :). Thanks for any clues on what this could be!PXL_20240325_210002719~2PXL_20240325_205941726~2

Row of arches are undulatus in nature depending on angle you see  them from. They look very low so..stratus cumulus undulatus..maybe even  undulatus asperitas..??

Thanks Michael! It didn’t occur to me that it could be undulatus since it was so close to the ground. As this system moved across our area, it had been nimbostratus for much of the day. Shortly before this I also spotted mammatus.

      Thanks again!
