      I am quite doubtful myself, but I just want to check and see if this was a horseshoe vortex cloud.  I know that my chance of catching one is very slim, but if I don’t ask I won’t know, right?  Thanks for any input!  These were taken on my cell phone, over just a very few minutes. What was quite odd was that at the last it almost seemed to form a circle…

      I don’t think so either, Ramona. They happen in the lower troposphere where there is both convection and turbulence. Yours look like cirrus clouds. But keep watching …
