An interesting link, Laurence.
But if I may (again) be pedantic your title is misleading. I read the link as implying the green flash as being solely a solar phenomenon to which the lunar one is ‘related’. The link says
‘The remarkable optical mirage is related to the more commonly witnessed green flash of the setting Sun.’

The second picture is the same view by Blane as pictured in The Times, UK, yesterday but The Times version has a hazy moon through a pink sky and caption:
‘Moonshine A supermoon – a full moon at its closest point to Earth, seen here over Minning Low, a Neolithic cairn in Derbyshire – coincided with the spring equinox’
