What a fine finale that was for Vol. X with the tumbling fun of Michael’s last two photos, Ruth’s delicious Morning Soup, and a Sea Of Clouds from Hans (<– I’d like to dive into that one with no need to hold my breath, even though it took my breath away).
Thanks for the launch to Vol XI, Michael. I can see we’re already off to another great start.

Michael, love the dance moves of those soft, wispy clouds in #112, and the variety of moods in your latest three.
And Ruth, that looks like a gentle start to the day there.
Today we’ve had an influx of floccus, pretty much covering the entire sky at times.

Thank you hygge! That shot was one taken on a chance…a lot of things were less than opportune , but I took the chance that there was enough there for me to work with. Took me around 5 minutes to process the shot that you see. I ought to take more chances. Maybe its a pileus,,but its pretty big for a pileus so its a lenticular formed by the air having to rise and to go over the congestus . In any case the lenny has a calming effect on the energetic congestus.

I think it’s just the lowest part of a rainbow, a double in fact. It’s not easy to see on this as the quality is somewhat reduced but to left, almost dead centre is a fainter segment of the second bow.
