Thanks for the great launch, Michael, and I surely agree with Hans on #243 (near the end of Volume XX). What a splendid play of light and shadow. And #212 above really pops!

Hans, Between the Lines makes me smile. Those clouds look to be having fun gliding along at a good speed. And after seeing your beautiful Coral that closed volume XX, and your latest which reminds me of maybe an invasion of ocean jellies, I dove down into the archives here and discovered a photo from a couple of years ago. It was just a tiny bit of cloudy sky, and by the time I enlarged it to take a closer look, it too could have come from the sea.

Ruth, Puff and It’s Gone ~~ Yes, but it shall not be forgotten now that we can see it time and again thanks to your timely capture.

Michael, could your #216 be someone with their head in the clouds? A clever portrait! Also very drawn to #215 for its play of light and shadow.

And thanks, Hans! And I believe I can hear the sweet music of your Celestial Harp. And Let It Snow is a bright visual celebration on these hot summer days.

This one reminds me of a wave coming in on rain specked sand at the shoreline—with a Ruth title inspiration. ;)

There is a implied motion , maybe a lot, in that shot Keelin. I shot that in High Contrast mode as with #231 and #227 The high contrast looses detail in blacks and highlites but pops the remaining greys out. As you say , the eye gets pulled in from below and  is invited to leave by a radiating top. Lots of fun in your Layered Look!

Thanks Hans. Funny thing is when the undulatus was over head it didn’t even draw the need to be photographed. But when the field hit the hills the winds had their way, lots of unsettled choppy winds just tore the undulatus apart. Holmboe? heck yea! Lucky i had the camera programed for high contrast B&W . Also the lens was almost at the end of its reach..You are correct, much reverence in seeing and being able to photograph such a unique occurrence…You are getting up close as well in Details. such a fine sculpture!

Now that you pointed it out Keelin, I can see the devil too in the Details. Now I realize that it would also fit in your Halloween series. Maybe Made For Each  Other? Yes a good eye as Michael himself must have too to spot what’s on #242. Very feathery and light.

I tried to leave out any devil in next details but I am not absolutely sure I succeeded. I may be sure after a thorough inspection by Keelin. I look forward to it.

I am dizzy with all the great B & W.  Sorry to bring everyone down to the ground.  Sky riding is more fun.  Gray days in my area with ugly inversions.  I have been hungry for more interesting skies.

Wonderful fun in all the above!

Well, I don’t see any devil in More Details, Hans, just a great capture of a cloud clamshell. And what a sweet little Flowering in the garden of clouds. Really lovely.

Great hot-tipped highlights in #244, Michael, while #245 looks downright shivery.

Hope you’re keeping warm, Ruth! It may be grey days there, but I can see you’re still finding the beauty in them.

Michael, #246 feels like a soft fibric.  Keelin, well fluff is fluff.  Hans, Flowering, should be spring somewhere.

Ruth, More Black Than White was a great surprise! It left such an impression that it inspired a dream similar to your photo. And then the clouds sailed away to reveal a pulsing moon halo of radiant iridescence. Thank you for that dream seed.

And Michael, thank you for kind words above. Your latest is exceptional. You caught the moment in the moment!

Hans, Hairy Cirrus are the cutest little creatures.  Good story material.

Michael, more fun creatures in #253.

Keelin, hope you are done baking this holiday.  We just waited for friends to bring us goodies.

Michael, #253 is an absolute favorite and #454 is quite intriguing with its shadowy element.

Hans, Hairy Cirrus is an amazing capture with a very amusing title. I agree with Ruth about the story potential there. I bet you can even work in the Floss. So funny!

And Ruth, is that Santa’s Lift Off? Is he the friend you were waiting for? Hope he brought the goods! And thanks for sharing with us. ;)
