Jonathan Barkan, Member 45,889, came across this article about Los Angeles-based artist Lachlan Turczan whose installations often take place outdoors—in deserts, mangroves, ponds, and stormy coastlines—where wind, humidity, and even silt in the water help shape the light into moving, cloud‑like forms. Visitors can walk through these luminous spaces, watching the beams bend and respond to their presence, much like stepping inside a living weather system. His work celebrates the beauty of natural optical effects, echoing rainbows, steam, and atmospheric light in a way that feels scientific and dreamlike at the same time.  The image above is “Veil II” on California’s Mojave Desert.
