  I see them time to time and I love the way they look like ice forming on a calm lake . That’s what they remind me of. I have looked and looked for a similar photo so i could name it correctly . To me , it appears to be somewhere between an altostratus and cirrus height of cloud . Perlucidus of some sort?

  Nice Shot! ..stratocumulus/altocumulus ..stratiformis..perlucidus…generally, details as you captured don’t extend into Cirrus range.
