Great mountain scenery on a fine, late-winter’s day in highland Nevada, USA!
The cloud formation in the sky looks like a bridge which you could cross on foot from one side of the mountain valley to the other quite easily! Rebecca Hill, Canberra, Australia
“Excuse me while I kiss the sky!” I caught a set of cloud lips a couple of years ago, but they were nearly as good as these. Thanks for sharing them, Bryan.
wow fire red
This photo appeals to me much indeed.
I like the deep and atmospheric broody, moody lighting and the heavy sense of gravitas contained in the clouds as they roll casting forth ever changing light and shadow across an unforgiving landscape.
As ever, Brian, my thanks.
Well done, Bryan! You have captured my two most favouite clouds in just one shot. Geez! Love it. I have put your shot onto my PC’s screensaver – it gives me much pleasure.
Happy New Year to you, Bryan, and thanks for all the great photos you kindly post onto the CAS photo gallery – all are much appreciated by many other including me.
As ever, Bryan, a great shot from you. What a sight to behold so early in the morning, eh?!?! Well worth getting out of bed to see and record this spectacle! 5* from me with no hesitation.
Many thanks Laurence. It was a pretty darn good morning for sure….
Rainbow? More like a double rainbow – and with a possible third rainbow in the making on the far RHS of this atmospheric photo?
Thanks, Bryan. Best wishes.
I agree, Flami. Another great shot from you, Bryan.
flami, Laurence, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!! ;))
A interesting busy sky matched by the clam clarity and purity of the overall scene. Nice shot, Bryan! I wish I were there right now.
Clouds mating?! A shade of romance.
Not certain of it Laurence, but you may be right….
