Patricia L KeelinParticipantReferring to earlier postings: Thanks, Ruth! If that character above your amazing anvil is dragon-related, he might help heat up whatever is needed for the fellow below who could use a new shoe or four.
Patricia L KeelinParticipantNot sure why I’ve recently encountered a glitch posting to this topic, but will try Gavin’s suggestion to separate the image from the text. So what follows may a 2-part reply (if it flies!)…
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove the pink thread in AZ #724, Michael. The path of a Phoenix in flight?
And Flame Thrower is HOT, Ruth!
Hans, Edgy is fantastic! Mysterious and beckoning. And so glad to hear you liked the Dolphin image despite finding it also disturbing. I’d turned the camera to avoid power lines, so perhaps that added a queasy vertigo factor. Was that it? If so, glancing aside is probably wise. I for one am never without some Dramamine when asea!
Posting Problem: Yesterday and continuing this morning, I’ve had problems with posting to the ‘Looks Like’ topic, almost immediately after I had successfully added a new image and comment there. Logging out and in again has not solved it yet. Testing now to see if I can add to other topics.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantCreepy and mysterious, Hans! Especially those pointy tentacles reaching for who-knows-what. A perfect follow up to Strange which clearly meets the title’s description. Both are wonderful images nonetheless.
And Michael, I can imagine that series had you glued to the spot awhile. What fabulous scenes. The sky was surely having some fun that day too.
Below, cropped and converted to B&W, the corona photo included on the Gallery a couple of days ago now brings memories of old school days.
Time To Clean The Eraser
Patricia L KeelinParticipantI like your visitor, Michael!
Just Passing Through
Patricia L KeelinParticipantAh, I meant to also comment on two other posts above…
It’s obvious the clouds love you, Ruth. Those Eyebrows and Big Lips don’t lie!
And Hans, I love your Octopus’s Garden! Who wouldn’t want to live there? In the photo below, I pushed the contrast a bit to catch the fish swimming in for a visit (on left partly hidden by seaweeds).
A Visitor To The Octopus’s Garden
Patricia L KeelinParticipantRuth, your Blowing Smoke is very funny! I think you caught Aeolus in the act — or — maybe this creature has something to do with it?
Are You Talking To Me?
Patricia L KeelinParticipantRuth, your Navajo rug is a work of art! And I see similar art in the horizontal clouds Michael captured following it.
Hans, your latest is like a sudden shift from dreaming… What?! Where am I?! Where was I?! A fabulous smash into full wakefulness. Ah, but to quote a favorite song by the Beatles:
Please don’t wake me
No, don’t shake me
Leave me where I am
I’m only sleeping…
Sleep Spindles
Patricia L KeelinParticipantAnother splendid example with beautiful definition in #188, Michael!
Tumultuous Tide
Patricia L KeelinParticipantGorgeous, deep rose-to-purple in Just Sunset Colors from Hans, followed by Michael’s incandescent scarlet—Wow! Good thing Ruth brought us those beautiful, softer shades of Bedtime so our eyes might rest a moment before Michael wakes us again with #723. It brings to mind a bubble stream that someone might want to play in.
Dolphin’s Delight
Patricia L KeelinParticipantI’ve scrolled back to Approaching Snow to enjoy again the ethereal illumination you’ve captured there, Hans. The image works so well in B&W to relay the coolness of that scene.
Donatella, it is so nice to see you here again, and with such beautiful photos from the wild-weathered Pacific Northwet.
Ruth, Just Today gives such an impression of space I found myself taking an extra big breath while viewing it.
Followed by holding that same breath as your Dunescape appeared, Hans. Looks like a good downpour might have begun any second there.
A few days of all -blue skies here, save the occasional passer-by. Still, it gives me hope!
Spirits Rising
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLot of amorphous action in #187, Michael. Love the mystery there.
Thank you for kind words, Hans, and now I see the flying bird too. I was only familiar with the song by the title The Wind That Shakes The Barley until now, so danke je for the introduction to John Barleycorn. And, of course, I was eager to see what image would accompany your title It’s Eating Something. The question is…what might that be?
A Delish Fish?
Patricia L KeelinParticipantRuth, One More January Moon is a bright jewel. Hans, your close up Iridescence is ever so delicious. And Gregory, the frosty feel of your halo with the filigree of tree branches in a supporting role is simply exquisite.
Partial Halo, Full Joy
Patricia L KeelinParticipantAh, nice one, Michael! Love that feeling of motion.

The Wind That Shakes The Barley
Patricia L KeelinParticipantA Water Elephant is just what was needed, Ruth. And how about we invite this fair creature from the land down under?
