LITTLE GIRL

Clouds sometimes
cross her brow
or sunbeams burn
her skin
but now she cannot hear the screams
nor can she feel
the sting.
Today
she only wants
to share her life
and feel
the wonder
in the eyes of all
when all the world
is free.
